Halloween fun begins Friday night in Georgian Bluffs

Georgian Bluffs families can partake in a bit of a Halloween primer at the end of the week.

The township will host a special Halloween event at the Kilsyth Arena from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday. The free, family-friendly evening will include Halloween activities, inflatable games, crafts, pickleball and dancing. There will also be a costume competition which will allow attendees to show off their spooky, creative or comical outfits.

A screening of Disney and Pixar's "Coco" will close out the festivities. Coco is an animated musical fantasy that follows a 12-year-old Mexican boy accidentally transported to the Land of the Dead, sparking an adventure to uncover his family history and reverse a ban on music.

Those staying for the movie are encouraged to bring a lawn chair, blanket or cushion for a more comfortable viewing experience, although chairs will be provided. There will also be free snacks at the concession stand, including fresh popcorn and Halloween candy.
