There's been another confirmed case of COVID-19 at Sarnia's Vision Nursing Home.
Lambton Public Health reported on its website Thursday night that 13 residents and five staff at the long-term-care home have now tested positive. That brings the total to 213 cases across Sarnia-Lambton.
Lambton Medical Officer of Health Doctor Sudit Ranade told Sue Storr on CHOK (103.9 FM, 1070 AM) Friday that they're monitoring the situation at Vision closely.
"Public health will be in contact every day to identify if there are any more symptomatic individuals, if they have any questions about what's going on, work with them on infection prevention and control guidance and make any other recommendations based on whatever scenario they're facing at the time," said Ranade. "As well, to identify cases who have resolved and what the sort of on-the-ground situation is."
The health unit says 150 people have now recovered from the deadly virus, up from 147.
Lambton Public Health has received the results from 4,676 COVID-19 tests and 95 per cent have come back negative.
Bluewater Health reported Friday that there are five people in hospital confirmed to have the virus, 18 patients are suspected of having it with tests pending.
