Active COVID-19 cases holding steady

Sarnia-Lambton's active COVID-19 case count is holding steady at 98.

Lambton Public Health Friday reported eight new confirmed cases of the virus up to 3,971 since March 2020. The health unit also reported eight resolved cases up to 3,803, leaving the number of active infections unchanged.

Since March 3, 2021, there have been 568 cases involving variants of concern, including 111 linked to the Delta variant.

The death toll stands at 70 and there are two active outbreaks.

Bluewater Health has three COVID-positive patients in hospital, up one from Thursday.
