Environment Canada has ended the weather advisory for possible funnel clouds Saturday evening.
The special weather advisory was issued for Windsor-Essex, Chatham-Kent, Sarnia-Lambton, London-Middlesex, Elgin, Oxford, Norfolk, and Southern Huron and Perth Counties early Saturday afternoon.
"These types of funnel clouds are generated by weak rotation under rapidly growing clouds or weak thunderstorms," the weather agency said in a release. "This weak rotation is normally not a danger near the ground. However, there is a chance that this rotation could intensify and become a weak landspout tornado."
The weather advisory ended as of 8:30 p.m.
