Sarnia police posted photos and information on two men wanted in relation to recent thefts as part of the crime unit's #WantedWednesday feature.
Police allege Chris Olmstead, who is marking his 37th birthday on the June 5 #WantedWednesday, stole from a synagogue.
Police didn't specify what was taken, only that a theft had occurred.
In a letter shared at a recent Sarnia Police Services Board Meeting, Ahavas Isaac Synagogue President Leonard Segall thanked Deputy Chief Julie Craddock for recent police visits to the Cobden Street temple.
Segall said they've been dealing with people trespassing and hope new cameras and effective police response will lead to fewer individuals using their stairwell.
Sarnia police also shared a photo of Andrew Balazs, who was wanted for the alleged thefts from local retailers.
*An update posted to social media on Friday, June 7, said Balazs had been located.
Anyone with information on Olmstead's whereabouts is asked to call city police at 519-344-8861 ext. 0 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Police remind the public, for your own safety, not to confront or attempt to apprehend anyone being sought by police.
