Health Study Researcher Visits Sarnia-Lambton

The lead government researcher in the Lambton Community Health Study is visiting Sarnia for the first time Wednesday and Thursday.

Chair Anne Marie Gillis says it's a positive step in their efforts to secure federal funding.

Michel Camus was meeting Wednesday evening at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.

Thursday he meets with the Study Committee, tours the city and will see firsthand the Sarnia-Lambton Environmental Association's air monitoring system.

The study is to determine what impact, if any, Sarnia area industry has on the health of area residents.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
