Busy Council Agenda

A busy agenda greets Sarnia council for its first regular meeting of the new term today.

Council meets in closed session at 3pm to discuss personal matters, labour relations and employee negotiations and potential legal action over ownership of the former Sarnia General Hospital Site.

In its regular meeting at 4pm, a rezoning application for a funeral chapel at 608 Errol St. West in Sarnia's north end will be discussed.

Council will be updated on the physical condition of the downtown public library and approve the sale of 5 acres of land in Sarnia's 402 Business Park on London Line to Union Gas so the utility can build a new office and warehouse.

Mayor Mike Bradley will ask for a review of operations in the Planning Department and that council hold off on appointing a civilian to the Sarnia Police Services Board until the new year.
