Sarnia Engineering Companies To Merge

A significant merger of Sarnia engineering companies has been announced.

MIG and BKL will be combining resources effective March 2.

The two companies have rich corporate histories dating back to the late 1950's.

MIG President Marty Raaymakers and his counterpart at BKL, Michael Bosher, say the two companies have been working on projects together for some time and felt the two combined can provide a wider ranger of services and an enviable mix of human resources.

It's estimated the two firms have designed and managed construction of over 80 per cent of Sarnia-Lambton's public infrastructure. They both currently provide consulting services to all levels of government and private sector and speciality services to industry.

Raaymakers says there'll be no job loss and they hope the merger will lead to additional employment.

The new combined company, at 453 Christina St. N., will be known as MIG Engineering (2011) Ltd., and will have six engineers, six certified technologists and support staff.
