Students Suspended

Over 500 local elementary school students stayed home today. Lambton Public Health Supervisor Erin Courtney says the health unit has not received updated immunization records or proof of exemption. Courtney says the students are suspended until the records are provided. Parents can contact Lambton Public Health via e-mail, fax, phone or in person. Lambton Public Health says the records include immunizations for diphtheria, tetanus, polio, mumps, rubella, measels, and, as of this year, meningitis, whooping cough and chicken pox for children born in 2010 or later.
