Environment Canada's investigation of a series of severe thunderstorms in southern Ontario Sunday August 2 has confirmed a fourth tornado. The national weather agency says an EF-1 tornado with winds between 135 km/h and 175 km/h occurred in the Millgrove area, northwest of Hamilton around 10pm. There was tree and roof damage with some of the damage lying in different directions. Investigators had previously confirmed EF-2 tornadoes, with winds up to 220 km/h, caused extensive damage in the Teviotdale area and in Lebanon, southeast of Listowel. An EF-1 was also confirmed August 2 in Marsville in the Orangeville area. There has been a total of six tornadoes in Ontario so far this year. The province normally has about a dozen tornadoes between late April and early October each year.
