<p>A 19th century cannon has been returned to its original home. Big Tom is back at Veterans Park.
 
The cannon has been sitting at Canatara Park for 50 years after it was moved during construction of the Sarnia Library.
 
Editor and Chief of the Sarnia Historical Society Phil Egan says Big Tom was at the Wellington St park for nearly a century before being moved.

The cannon was part of the Prince Alfred, a gunboat that patrolled the Great Lakes.
 
Egan credits the work of some local historians in getting Big Tom back to its original location ahead of Remembrance Day.
