Blue Water Parcels Clearing Backlog

Blue Water Parcels is hoping to have a backlog of parcels cleared by the end of the week. Recent changes by US Customs have prevented packages from being imported at the Blue Water Ferry in Sombra. Owner of Blue Water Parcels Lowell Dalgety says they had no choice in the matter, and have to follow government rules. [audio mp3="http://blackburnnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/lowell-2.mp3"][/audio] While changes were being made, the system was shutdown for about two weeks, creating a large backlog of undelivered packages. Dalgety says he hopes the backlog will be cleared by the end of this week.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
