Lambton College Welcomes Donation

Lambton College has received a significant equipment donation from Endress+Hauser.

At a ceremony Friday morning, the college formally recognized the $263,000 donation to the Instrumentation & Control Engineering Technology program.

Endress+Hauser CEO Tony Varga says it's important students are trained with up-to-date technology in the field.

"We have to have the students trained in where the industry is going, not so much where it's been," says Varga.

"The hands-on training that they're getting, and the academic side of it prepare them for where the industry is going and I can clearly see that the students are receiving the experience that's going to give them the great start I received."

Varga is a Lambton College alumnus, from the 1984 class in an electronics program.

The new field instrumentation devices will be installed in January for students to use in the coming term.
