Police Recover Stolen Tools, Bikes

Police have arrested a Sarnia man, and are looking for a woman, after numerous stolen items were recovered from a residence in the 200-block of Russell St. S.

During a search warrant last Thursday, members of the Sarnia police COPPS and Vice units seized power tools, bicycles and laptops.

Tyler Rankin, 28, is charged with break and enter, breach of undertaking, possession of a controlled substance, three counts of property obtained by crime under $5,000, one count of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and theft of a motor vehicle under $5,000.

A warrant has been issued for 37-year-old Melissa Thomas on two counts of breach of probation, one count of possession of a controlled substance, one count of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and two counts of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Police say only some of the stolen property has been returned to the rightful owners. You can view photos of the items by clicking here.

Police say you will be required to produce a serial number, specific markings or some way of identifying this property as being yours.
