Salvation Army Makes Plea For Donations

There is a shortage of gifts for certain age groups in this year's Gift of Christmas campaign. Salvation Army Captain Nancy Braye says over 900 families and individuals have registered this year. "Gift ideas for ages nine to 12 girls and for ages 11 to 13 boys, we're finding it very difficult for those couple of age groups so if there's anyone who can donate those specific gifts that would be very helpful," says Braye.

She suggests books, age-specific lego or art kits, as well as gift cards would be suitable. Gifts can be dropped off at McDonald's Sarnia locations, at Blackburn Radio at 1415 London Rd. or the Salvation Army at 970 Confederation St. Distribution is set for December 16, 17, 19 and 20.
