The Sarnia Sting have signed another player from the 2018 OHL Draft class.
The club has announced that defenceman Nolan Dillingham-Morelli has agreed to an Ontario Hockey League Standard Player Agreement.
Dillingham-Morelli, a 6'1'', 198 pound native of Mississauga, played last season for the Mississauga Rebels Minor Midget AAA program, recording 19 points (3 goals, 16 assists) and 68 penalty minutes. Selected by the Sting in the fourth round (68th overall) in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection, he is currently playing with the Georgetown Raiders of the Ontario Junior Hockey League.
Sting General Manager Nick Sinclair is pleased to have Dillingham-Morelli in the fold.
"We are very excited Nolan has made the commitment to furthering his hockey career in the Ontario Hockey League with our program," said Sinclair. "He is the type of player on the ice and individual off the ice that our club places a lot of value into on draft day. Nolan is a character young man that plays with grit, passion and high end compete that our fans should look forward to watching. I would officially like to welcome Nolan and his family to the Sarnia Sting organization."
Fellow 2018 draft picks Jacob Perreault, Theo Hill, and Nolan Burke had previously committed to the team.
The Sting return to the ice on Thursday night in Saginaw before hosting the Flint Firebirds on Friday night.
