Wellings Corunna Marks One Year With Grand Opening

Local residents toured a new community for adults 55+ south of Sarnia over the weekend.

The Wellings of Corunna, which offers 132 condo-like rental apartments within a club house type atmosphere celebrated it's grand opening Saturday.

Leasing Manager Shelly Rodgers says apartments start at $1,995 a month for a one bedroom, which includes dinner in the atrium each night. Utilities are extra and approximately $130 each month.

"Right now we are having a lot of people calling from London, Windsor, Toronto and Kitchener," says Rodgers. "They're wanting to get out of the busy city. The hustle and bustle. The lineups at the grocery stores and the stop lights. They want to come to a spot where they can go for a nice leisurely drive and not deal with the traffic."
