Fiery Petrolia crash sends driver to hospital

One person was sent to hospital with serious following a fiery single-vehicle crash in Petrolia early Thursday morning.

Petrolia & North Enniskillen Fire Department, Lambton OPP and EMS were called to Marthaville Road between Petrolia Line and Rokeby Line at around 6 a.m.

One crew knocked out the flames, while another set up a haul system using ropes to remove the lone occupant of the vehicle from deep down an embankment.

The investigation is ongoing.
