Lambton Mall denies out-of-town shoppers being bused in

Lambton Mall is quashing rumours that chartered buses have been arriving with shoppers from COVID-19 hot spots.

Marketing Director Alexandra Kohut thinks people are just speculating.

"We are not aware, or in support of, or encouraging any charter buses bringing shoppers to Lambton Mall from out-of-town at this time," said Kohut.

She said the mall supports all of the health recommendations made by local and provincial government.

"We're working hand-in-hand with the city and Lambton Public Health should something like this actually occur."

Kohut believes they would notice a chartered bus arrival and they haven't and haven't seen any photos either.

"In all seriousness, that would be a concern to us, and we would address it immediately and would get advice and guidance from Lambton Public Health and the City of Sarnia on how to deal with it."

Sarnia Transit regularly picks up and drops off residents at the mall, and the shopping centre is also a stop for VOYAGO's inter-community bus service to London.
