Strong northwest winds off Lake Huron were causing blustery, cold conditions Thursday, particularly in north and east Lambton County.
Environment Canada elevated a snow squall watch to a warning for parts of the county and then cancelled the warning over the noon hour as the squalls moved further east into the London area.
The weather agency said flurries, heavy at times, and blowing snow would continue in traditional snowbelt areas Thursday afternoon into Thursday evening with total accumulations of 15 to 25 centimetres possible in some areas.
Forecasters also said there's the chance of snow squalls re-establishing Friday morning.
Motorists were warned of reduced visibility at times in snow and blowing snow, and were being advised to adjust to changing conditions, slow down and allow extra time.
