The Storm edged the Sarnia Sting 4-3 in overtime at the Sleeman Centre.
The Sting's Josh Vogelsberg (1) scored the lone goal late in the first period assisted by Ben Lalkin.
The Storm replied with goals from Matthew Papais and Sasha Pastujov in the second period.
In the third Nolan DeGurse (3) scored for the Sting at the 3:40 mark with assists going to Justin O'Donnell and Alexis Daviault.
Less than a minute later Sarnia would retake the lead on a goal from Nolan Burke (11) assisted by Ty Voit and Nolan Dann.
That lead would last until the 19:52 mark when the Storm's Papais scored his second of the game.
Then 2:26 into overtime Pastujov scored the game winner.
Following the game Sarnia Associate Coach Brad Staubitz said despite the loss the Sting played well.
"Absolutely we can't knock the compete in that game. Their willingness to block shots, the way we came back when we were down so that's a lot of positives."
He said they battled when they had the empty net for well over a minute.
"3 on 3 when it comes to that situation we had our chances but then there was a breakdown and (the puck) ended up in the back of the net."
Sarnia goalie Benjamin Gaudreau turned aside 35 shots while Owen Bennett made 27 saves.
With the loss Sarnia's record falls to 6-6-3-0 while the Storms record improves to 10-6-1-1.
