Exciting updates are underway or being planned at Tecumseh Park in Sarnia.
Community Services General Manager Stacey Forfar said the fences are being removed from around the existing splash pad.
"The splash pad will be open to the public this summer. It will be open, accessible and free. At the same time, we've also got the Tecumseh playground being upgraded to a fully accessible playground for the community as well."
Forfar said the park and Norma Cox Youth Centre area, off Russell Street South and south of Devine Street, hasn't seen this amount of investment in a number of years.

"There's another significant investment happening in the skateboard park. Which again, there's more consultation underway as well, we're looking at a bit of a revival and renewal of those assets."
Canadian Ramp Company has completed a preliminary design for the new skate park, based on a survey conducted in February and March, and is now looking for further feedback.
