BWH Chief of Staff wins national leadership award

Bluewater Health's chief of staff is being recognized this weekend in Toronto.

Dr. Mike Haddad has won an award for medical leadership, the Canadian Certified Executive (CCPE) credential.

The designation is given to those who demonstrated outstanding leadership capabilities, knowledge and skills required to find success while directing and influencing change within Canada's healthcare system.

"It's an honour to be acknowledged with this certification," said Dr. Haddad in a news release. "The work I do isn't for the recognition, but it's great to be celebrated alongside so many talented and accomplished physicians."

Chair of the hospital board Brian Knott offered his sincere congratulations.

"We are proud to have a colleague who continuously exhibits great leadership within the hospital as well as in the community," said Knott. "We are thrilled to see Dr. Haddad being celebrated for his hard work and significant accomplishments."

Dr. Haddad will be recognized as a credential recipient at the Canadian Conference of Physician Leadership in Toronto Friday and Saturday.
