You may be lucky enough to come across a canola field in bloom during your travels this Victoria Day holiday weekend.
The spring crop, which flowers and transforms fields into a vibrant sea of yellow, is planted in the fall and harvested in June.
Brian Schoonjans said a family just east of Watford is collecting donations in honour of 'Miracle Max' from anyone who wants to take photos at their field at 8727 Confederation Line.
"We're still doing the sunflowers that we plan to plant in the next week or so that will be ready here at our original site at Douglas Line [in Forest] for mid-summer," said Schoonjans. "But, the VanLoon family that joined us two seasons ago now, grew sunflowers the last two years, they didn't want to give up the fun of meeting people and being part of the Miracle Max's team."
Schoonjans said it's a good idea to come sooner than later.

"It's been in bloom now for a good week. We're not exactly sure how long the flowers will last. So, I wouldn't wait if you want to see it," he said.
Schoonjans said you can pop by anytime, from dawn to dusk, seven days a week.
"As long as the flowers are open. The VanLoon's have cut walking trails through the field. People are welcome to drive in their lane and just park angle parking on the lawn. They have a donation box attached to a wagon that has a Miracle Max sign on it. They also parked one of their vintage tractors out in the middle of the field for people to do photo ops and stuff with that."
The fundraiser was started in memory of two-year-old Max Rombouts who lost his battle with leukemia in 2019.
All of the donations are directed to charities that supported the Rombouts family when Max was in hospital, including Childcan and Ronald McDonald House.
