New tolls at Blue Water Bridge take effect next month

Tolls are changing slightly at the Blue Water Bridge.

The Federal Bridge Corporation Limited (FBCL) said that as of October 1, U.S. bound passenger vehicles will pay $4.50 (USD) up from $4.25 (USD).

The rate for commercial vehicles per axle is also increasing by $0.25 (USD) to $4.50 (USD) per trip.

The rate for those paying with Canadian currency will remain at $6 (CAD).

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is also adjusting its rates for traffic entering Canada at the border crossing.

Commercial trucks and buses will see the toll drop from $4.50 (CAD) to $4.25 (CAD). Passenger vehicle rates will remain the same at $4 (CAD) per trip.

Both MDOT and FBCL review their rates semi-annually, with the next review scheduled for April 1, 2024.
