Grand Bend Legion in top 10 for best Ontario karaoke

The Grand Bend Legion has made a top ten list of the best karaoke bars in Ontario.

Lambton Shores Mayor Doug Cook said it came in third on the Tripadvisor ranking.

"It's great! I think it's another great asset for our community," said Cook. "It is kind of like a hub, where a lot of people go to do a lot of things."

Cook welcomes the added recognition, especially after the municipality was named as one of the top 100 "most livable cities" in the country in 2023.

"I know they do it [karaoke] on a regular basis. They do post it on their Facebook page. I think it's a weekly, or biweekly event that they do there and I know it does draw a good crowd. This is just another great thing for the community," he said.

When asked if he had participated, Cook laughed.

"No," said Cook. "Fortunately, I haven't been there to do it. It's not in my near future to go and participate in karaoke. No, it is not."

According to the calendar posted to Facebook, the Legion hosts a karaoke night every Friday in January from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
