UPDATE: Teen girls found safe

City police are thanking members of the public for their help in locating two teenage girls who were reported missing.

Sarnia police said 14-year-old Leah Davis of Port Lambton and 15-year-old Brooklyn Lachine of Sarnia were last seen together at around 4 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Lambton Mall.

A missing person report was issued early Wednesday morning. Shortly before 12 p.m., police said the two had been found safe.

Use of force by Sarnia police steady year over year

According to a report presented to the Sarnia Police Service Board late last month, 99.8 percent of the calls in 2024 were without any use of force, which is described as the use of a weapon on an individual.
