Hotel break and enter leads to charges

Two people were arrested Thursday after a break and enter in a Sarnia hotel.

Police said a 48-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman allegedly entered a downtown hotel Wednesday after using a lost room key card.

It's alleged the suspects rummaged through the victims belongings and stole several items including a Dell laptop, power bank, 3rd generation airpods, pink beats headphones, make up and toiletry bag, keys to a Kia vehicle, brown Coach bag with red interior and a black Lululemon backpack.

Using security footage, officers were able to identify the two suspects.

On Friday, police conducted a search warrant at a home on George Street and located some of the missing items.

The items found were the Dell laptop, pink Beats headphones, 3rd generation airpods and brown Coach bag.

Both suspects are facing break and enter a place- commit an indictable offence charges and failing to comply with a probation order.

The 48-year-old has been remanded in custody and will have his next court date on June 28 and the 33-year-old has been released with a court date on July 16.
