Charges laid in Stuart Street break-in

A 44-year-old Sarnia man accused of stealing from a Stuart Street residence over the weekend has been charged.

City police were called about a break-in on Saturday, September 14 at 6:43 p.m.

The suspect allegedly broke into a garage and took off after the homeowner confronted him. Police said the suspect was found nearby on a bike pulling a trailer.

He was arrested and charged with break and enter and theft under $5,000.

Police are encouraging those who have been a victim of crime to report the incident through the Sarnia Police Service's online reporting tool or a non-emergency phone number at 519-344-8861.
