Cana-Scare-A Park returns for another year of scares

Halloween enthusiasts are being invited to Canatara Park on Saturday for Fright Night at Cana-Scare-A Park.

This is the third year for the event, hosted by the City of Sarnia and the Seaway Kiwanis Club.

Community Services Coordinator Sean Hanlon said the event is a self guided haunted walk.

"Attendees can choose from predetermined paths to follow and visit haunted areas and haunted houses, such as the Twisted Maze, The Monster Mash, Witches Coven, Maze of Horrors, and Pumpkin Alley," he said.

According to Hanlon, each maze is labeled by pumpkins.

He said there will be some new activities including the Painted Cat's Face Your Fears Gallery.

"Participants are dared to enter a spine tingling haunted area with balloon twisting, glitter tattoos and a variety of terrifying themes based on common fears and phobias," Hanlon said.

There will also be a Bone Collector garbage truck on display and haunted train rides.

He said in the past there have been over 10,000 people who attend.

"It's just a great opportunity to dress up to enjoy some haunted houses and enjoy Halloween displays with family and friends," Hanlon said.

The free event runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. near the Seaway Kiwanis Children's Animal Farm.
