Several local restaurants are firing up the grill for Novemburger.
Director of Development and Communications Ryan Doyle said it's a first for the local United Way.
"Basically we've gone to them and asked them to create a custom burger for the month of November, and anybody who purchases that burger, $2 will go to the United Way to help fund our local programs," said Doyle.
Doyle said 16 restaurants across Sarnia-Lambton are participating including Christo's, Stokes Inland and Black Gold Brewery.
He said he is committed to trying all of them.
"So, when I report back at the end of November I will have tried all of them," said Doyle. My waistline will pay for it, but I'm pretty excited."
The month-long campaign is also a way to educate the public about the local United Way.
"It's only $2 from the burger, so if it adds to the campaign goal, amazing but really, we just want people to have fun and we want to get the word out," said Doyle. "So, hopefully in the restaurants we attached table cards that kind of talk about the different programs that we do. So if someone's sitting down, and is like where does my two bucks go, there should be that information in the restaurants."

Meanwhile, the annual fundraising effort has raised over $758,000.
