Write your letters to Santa! Canada Post planning express North Pole delivery

Santa's elves at Canada Post in Sarnia are collecting letters for an express delivery to the North Pole.

Employees returned to work on Tuesday and getting mail to Santa Claus was top of mind.

Letter carrier Mark Kohoutek told Sarnia News Today they've come up with a plan, but you only have a few days to get letters in.

"We just ask that all the local letters be dropped off at our Sarnia Canada Post Office, which is located at 105 Christina Street South, at the corner of Christina Street and Davis Street in Sarnia. If you don't mind dropping those letters off by this Friday, December 20th," Kohoutek said.

In the past, letters would be collected at the parade or dropped in local mail boxes. But, that couldn't be accommodated this year.

"Normally, we'd see between 100 and 200 letters collected and Santa has answered," said Kohoutek.

He said it's very important each letter is properly labeled to receive a response.

"It would be great if all of your letters have a full name and return address on them. That way Santa can ensure you get your letters before Christmas," said Kohoutek.

Each letter should be addressed to Santa Claus, North Pole, Canada, HOH OHO.

No postage is required.
