Bad decision sinks driver

Sarnia police are reminding motorists that disobeying road closed signs could you land in some troubled waters.

Several roads across the city were affected by flooding Thursday and closed to traffic as a result.

Officers in the area of Blackwell Sideroad and London Line spotted a vehicle travelling south on London Line disobey a posted road closed sign and drive around it.

Police said the driver was attempting to go through the flooded area and became stuck.

A tow truck was called to remove the vehicle, and the driver was charged under the Highway Traffic Act for disobeying a sign.

Several roads across the county are still impacted by flooding, with more rain in the forecast this weekend.
