Residents are invited to participate in the Heritage Sarnia-Lambton Summer BINGO Challenge.
It's a community engagement initiative designed to encourage exploration of the county's history.
The challenge invites people to visit participating heritage sites throughout the region and complete activities on the designed BINGO cards.
Marketing and Events Coordinator Jessica Stevenson said there have been similar events in the past but it is the first year for this format.
"The BINGO card offers a level of flexibility. People can either get one row, which gives them one entry into the grand prize or they can complete the whole card and get 10 bonus entries," she said.
The winner will get a Heritage Sarnia-Lambton swag bag which will have items from eight sites and a $100 gift certificate from Tourism Sarnia-Lambton.
Stevenson said the contest closes on September 2.
"There's a few different ways they can submit their card. They can either submit their card in person at one of the eight participating sites or there's also a QR code on the BINGO card that they can scan and they can submit a photo of their card electronically," she said.
The goal of the program is to encourage residents to check out and explore the county's history.
Stevenson said this encourages people to visit all eight Heritage Sarnia-Lambton sites.
"At the same time [we] recognize that summer is a time where people are very busy, they might not be able to get to all eight sites, so with the BINGO card they can pick and choose the different activities on the card that they want to do," she said.
Those wishing to participate can pick up the cards at the participating heritage site or they can print their own from the Heritage Sarnia-Lambton website.
The grand prize winner will be drawn on September 17.
