Sarnia Blessings is the owner of a new catering van thanks to Progressive Auto Sales.
A formal presentation was held on Thursday, July 17.
The non-profit was formerly using Executive Director's Kevin Allen's personal vehicle but it was involved in a crash a few months ago.
He said having the new van is a gamechanger.
"We were left without any way to get any of the food or pick up equipment or anything," Allen said. " We're so thankful that [Progressive Auto Sales] stepped up and donated this vehicle to help us."

Besides transporting food and equipment, it will allow volunteers to also transport any catering supplies.
Allen said it will help everything they do in the community.
"All of our volunteers are stoked because we were stuck of what to do because we didn't have any way and we don't have any formal funding and the catering is the life blood of the funding to make what we do possible and we weren't sure how we were going to do it," he said.
Donating the van has been in the process over the last six months.
According to Allen, they reached out to different organizations to get funding for a vehicle with no luck.
Progressive Auto Sales called them shortly after giving them the van.
He said it felt amazing when they got the news.
"By giving us a van it allows us to deliver our catering and move our equipment, so all of the funds will go towards about 1,000 meals a week to seniors and post surgery," Allen said.
The vehicle is valued at an estimated $35,000.
Progressive Auto Sales President Dan Whitton said someone came to them about the non-profit needing a vehicle.
"We heard about what they do for our community and they have a great cause and they help a lot of people and we just like to help people who are helping a lot of people," he said.
Sarnia Blessings started during the COVID-19 pandemic and Allen estimates roughly 250,000 meals have been made for seniors.
