Songs and storytelling come together for Music and Mental Health-Part 2

A dozen local performers will take to the stage at Imperial Theatre in support of St. Clair Child and Youth Services.

It's Music and Mental Health, Part 2, presented by Sarnia Speaks.

The show will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, October 3.

Spokesperson Monique D'Arcy said the show includes various musical numbers feature music by Elton John, Phill Collins and Lady Gaga.

"We have an incredibly talented cast of some Theatre Sarnia alumni and just some wonderful musicians from town," said D'Arcy.

Spokesperson Danielle Catton said Sarnia Speaks has been around since 2016, and it's about sharing stories predominately focused on mental health.

She said the 'Music and Mental Health' marries storytelling and music together, taking guests on a musical and emotional journey.

"People come in and they talk a little bit about their journey, and then they sing a song that has significance with that journey," said Catton.

The event in 2024 raised $2,000 for youth mental health support and programs.

Tickets are available through the theatres website and are $20 in advance, $30 at the door.
