Sarnia Fire Rescue responded to two separate grass fires along Front Street South Saturday evening.
Firefighters encountered some difficulty reaching the farthest sections of the fires because of road closures in the area.
Sarnia fire said once crews were able to gain access to the area on foot, they arrived to find two Good Samaritans on sea-doos doing their part to help by “rooster-tailing” water from the river toward the burning shoreline.
They thanked the pair for lending a hand.
