After setting a new record high over the weekend, we'll return to more seasonal temperatures for the rest of the week in Sarnia.
A cold front moving across the province has brought an end to the recent warm spell.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Steven Flisfeder said it was a record breaking weekend for dozens of municipalities including Sarnia.
"So a new record of 30.8 degrees Celsius for the date of October 4," said Flisfeder. "The previous record for that date was 29.4 degrees Celisus set in 1951."
Sarnia came close to setting a new record on Sunday too. Flisfeder said it got up to 29.7 C, just shy of the record of 30.0 C set in 1951.
Flisfeder said we're returning to more seasonal temperatures after the passage of this cold front with the average daytime highs of around 17 to 19 degrees Celsius through the long weekend.
