Nearly 50,000 people attended the Brigden Fall Fair over the Thanksgiving long weekend.
Spokesperson Dennis Robinson said despite a little bit of rain Friday night, attendance was up from 2024 when just over 43,100 people took part in the festivities.
"It was fabulous," said Robinson. "A total of 49,571 came through the gates to view Brigden Fair, the 175th edition."
The theme for this year was "Home Grown, Home Made, Farm Fresh."
Robinson said plans for next year are already underway.
"It starts the minute it closes," he said. "You know what went very well, what could be tweaked slightly. But, the traffic flow through there was fantastic, no real large line ups and certainly lots of good comments about how agriculture is displayed and the number and variety of vendors that we have."
He said the countless volunteers made sure the four day event flowed very well.
"Thank you to all the volunteers that put their shoulder to the wheel to make it happen. And to all of the support that we get for equipment, for lighting, you name it Lambton County supplies it. It makes life so much easier for the volunteers that man the gates, the people movers, the parking. We appreciate the support that Brigden Fair receives."
The annual Fall Demolition Derby at the Brigden Fairgrounds will be held on Saturday, October 18 at 1 p.m.
Registration opens at 9 a.m.
