23 community organizations receive grant funding

The Sarnia Community Foundation (SCF) is expecting to mark a major milestone this year with how much will be disbursed to support local organizations and initiatives.  

The foundation recently held its 2025 Community Impact Grants recognition event at the Dow Center for Youth.

Executive Director Mike Barron said 23 donor advised and community impact grants were distributed, which is the most in its history. A list of the recipients can be found below.

The total amount doled out on October 2 was $139,357.

Between grants and scholarships, the SCF is projecting it will disburse close to $1 million dollars this year, which would mark another huge milestone.

The 23 funding recipients included:

- Down Syndrome Association of Lambton County

- Huron House Boys Home Sarnia Lambton

- John Howard Society of Sarnia Lambton

- Moore Agricultural Society

- Rayjon Share Care of Sarnia Inc.

- Scouts Canada

- St. Josephs Hospice Sarnia Lambton

- United Way of Sarnia-Lambton

- Vision 74 Inc.

- March of Dimes

- North Lambton Community Health Centre

- River City Vineyard

- St. Clair Child and Youth Services

- St. Vincent DePaul Society

- YMCA Southwestern Ontario

- Sarnia Lambton Rebound

ISO pauses season, ends lease at downtown hub
