'Sarnia's spookiest tour' ready to hit the road

Sarnia Transit's Halloween Bus Tour seems to be a hot ticket item again this year.

The annual tradition, referred to as Sarnia's spookiest tour, takes residents to see decorated properties throughout the city.

Tickets went on sale on October 15.

Manager of Communications Steve Henschel said with approximately 550 tickets available, they're selling quickly.

"We're approximately 50 per cent sold out with a few of the time slots already completely sold out at this point," he said.

Tickets can be purchased for $3 each at the customer service desk at City Hall, Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

"People love the tour. It's a great way to take in some of the Halloween pride some of our residents display with their properties," Henschel said.

Fifteen submissions were received for this year's event, however, the route is still being finalized.

"We take the submissions and then we plot them out on a route that can be completed in that one-hour time frame for the tour," Henschel said. "Tours run October 29 and 30 at varying times between 6 p.m. and 7:45 p.m."

Last year's tour included 12 stops.

Tours will depart from the Clearwater Terminal. Wheelchair seating is available.
