A section of Highway 40 in St. Clair Township was closed for over 12 hours following a two vehicle collision Thursday morning.
The St. Clair Township Fire Department, Lambton OPP, and Lambton EMS responded to the scene at around 9 a.m.
Volunteer firefighters didn't stay long at the scene, but police closed Highway 40 in both directions between Wilkesport Line, Smith Line, Baseline Road, and Indian Creek Road in Sombra until about 11:30 p.m.
Police said one person was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.
