Man dies in crash with loading dock at Lambton Mall

The Sarnia Police Service (SPS) says a 66-year-old man died in a crash at Lambton Mall Tuesday night.

Police, Sarnia Fire Rescue, and Lambton EMS responded to a loading dock near Marshall's off London Road, at around 7:20 p.m. Tuesday.

A white van was heavily damaged in the collision with the dock.

Police said the man had no vital signs and significant trauma to his lower body.

Paramedics tried life saving measures but unfortunately they were unsuccessful.

The man's name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Members of the Criminal Investigations Division and Traffic Reconstructionist are continuing to investigate the collision.
