A 49-year-old man is facing several charges after an incident on Boxing Day.
Sarnia police were called to London Line around 9 a.m. on December 26, after reports of a man standing in the road and hitting the ground with an object.
Police allege that when they arrived on scene, they found the man outside the entrance of a local business holding a tool that appeared to consist of a crowbar handle with a sledgehammer on one end and a pickaxe on the other.
The man complied when directed to drop the object.
Police saw fresh damage to the roadway and placed the man under arrest.
He is charged with failure to comply with a release order, mischief under $5,000 and failing to comply with probation.
Police said following his bail hearing, the accused was released by the courts with conditions.
