Snow squalls area expected in Sarnia-Lambton Monday.
Environment Canada has issued a yellow snow squall watch for the region as a sharp cold front is expected to track over the area.
The national weather agency said along this cold front a sudden intense snowfall is expected.
A quick five centimetres of snow is possible from this snow squall as well as a rapid temperature drop, leading to icy surfaces.
Motorists are advised that poor visibility in blowing snow is likely as strong northwesterly wind gusts are expected.
A yellow wind warning is also in effect for Sarnia-Lambton, with wind gusts of 80 to 90 kilometres an hour developing Monday morning and continuing into the evening hours.
We are being told to prepare for the possibility of quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
Yellow alerts are the most common according to Environment Canada and indicate hazardous weather may cause damage, disruption, or health impacts. Impacts are moderate, localized, and/or short-term.
