Sting shutout on road against Erie

The Sarnia Sting have now lost three straight games.

They took on the Erie Otters on the road Saturday, losing 4-0.

Neither team found the back of the net in the first period. Erie would outshoot the Sting 15-6.

The second period is where the Otters got awarded for their strong play as Sam Alfano and Brett Hammond would score under two minutes apart. Pano Fimis found the back of the net later in the period for Erie, giving them a 3-0 lead.

Erie’s Wesley Royston capped the scoring in the third period

With the loss, Sarnia’s record drops to 7-9-1-3, while Erie moves to 10-5-1-1.

The Sting’s next game is on Friday, November 15, on the road against the London Knights.
