The Windsor Spitfires will be honouring a few of its all-time greats at tonight's game, as the franchise celebrates its 40th anniversary.
Adam Graves, Bill Bowler and coach Tom Webster represent the 1985-95 years, and will be at the WFCU Centre while the Spits host Sarnia.
Graves, who's number already hangs from the rafters, says he's honoured to be part of tonight's ceremonies. "We all know the history of the team, from the Ernie Goddens, all the way through to the Taylor Halls and today's players. There's been a lot of great players that have been fortunate enough to wear that jersey, and certainly I consider myself one of them."
Graves captained the Spitfires to their first OHL championship in 1988, putting up 32 points in just 12 playoff games. That team was coached by Webster, on one of his three stints behind the Windsor bench.
Bowler played for the Spitfires from 1991-95 and still holds the record for most career points at 467.
