The complaint process for residents in Kingsville is getting some attention from administration after town council asked for a report to come back at their next meeting.
The system put in place five years ago — called 'Kingsville Works' which was meant to streamline complaints — needs improvement in closing open cases.
Mayor Nelson Santos says the more public input the town gets, the better the system will work.
"We need that feedback so we ensure we're not missing something," says Santos. "Hopefully this investigation and the process we're going through improves how we respond and work with our residents."
Santos hopes the report will shed some light on how to make the system more attractive for residents to use.
"We're looking at how we can tweak it to make it a stronger communication tool so that residents would have a better understanding of when they filed an issue and when it was resolved," says Santos.
Council has its next regular meeting on August 8.
