Enrolment at UWindsor nearly an all-time high

Enrolment numbers at the University of Windsor are looking very strong.

"We are shaping up to have one of the largest incoming classes ever, nearly 3,000 first-year students," said Douglas Kneale, interim president and vice-chancellor of the University of Windsor. "Counting graduate and undergraduate, domestic and international, and full-time and part-time registrations, we expect to have in total approximately 16,000 students this year, one of the highest enrolments in our university’s history."

Kneale said the four residences are at 100 per cent capacity with a waiting list. He said more than 900 students have moved in with 73 per cent from Canada and 27 per cent from 47 different countries. Kneale added that 69 per cent are first-year students and 97 per cent come from outside Windsor-Essex.

"I’m delighted that so many students this year chose to live on campus," said Kneale.
