A fire at a multi-unit residential building was quickly under control with the help of the Windsor Fire and Rescue Service (WFRS), as well as the building's sprinkler system.
WFRS tweeted that crews were on the scene of a fire on the 300 block of Church Street in downtown Windsor around 3:30 p.m. Sunday. About a half hour later, crews reported that the fire was under control.
"Building sprinkler system did a fantastic job," said Windsor Fire.
Later, at around 4:45 p.m., WFRS tweeted that the fire was out. Crews remain on the scene venting smoke.
The WFRS investigator will be attending the scene to determine the cause of the fire, which at this time is still unknown.

The fire occurred at a Salvation Army Residence. An investigation discovered it was caused by an extension cord failure in a gymnasium. The damage is expected to cost around $75,000, but WFRS said no one was injured.
